Nintendo knows how to troll!

June 7, 2011
It’s been only two days into E3 and I can’t help myself but to speak out on a few things. The whole show has been quite impressive so far. There have been some disappointments but I’ll get to that in a moment.
There has been so many new games announced, that I won’t be able to get to it today, but wow. Sure does have me quite stoked.
-Microsoft conference was kinda shitty. And that upsets me, because I love the Xbox. But they couldn’t stop ramming the damn Kinect into everyone’s throats. Like, Damn, Microsoft! Shut up about that stupid ass thing and just show us some games. I’m NOT (and neither is anyone who actually bought that dumb thing) going to play Ghost Recon without a controller. So stop shoving it in our faces.
On another note, MINECRAFT!! For the XBOX!!! That made me excited as hell. But then they tried to plug in the Kinect AGAIN saying you can play Minecraft on it. ಠ_ಠ
Gears of War 3-GAY! Halo 1 remake-AWESOME! Halo 4…umm…show something? And the rest was Kinect. But the new Tomb Raider is going to make people crap their pants. It looks incredible.
-Sony Conference was really really well put together. They only spoke about the Move as a, “Guess what? you can play this game on the Move. Neat huh?” Not shoving it down anyone’s throats. And their game lineup looks great. Resistance 3…the coolest box art ever! If someone can find me a Resistance 3 T-Shirt I will love you forever.
Now, the PlayStation Vita…I think it’s pretty cool…but not OMG MUST HAVE cool. It’s still the retarded step-chile of the Game Boy, but it looks a little innovative. I can possibly see myself buying one if there was a price drop and I happen to have some spare cash on me.
-Nintendo Conference was OMG!!! All I can say is Nintendo has won E3 this year. If there were prizes, Nintendo has got it. This WiiU thing looks very very cool. I am very impressed. Miyamoto came out throwing Legend of Zelda crap EVERYWHERE and making every fanboy/girl collectively jizz their pants.
The WiiU is something I can see myself camping outside a store to buy it. At first I was like “WTF IS THIS” then I saw everything it can do. Yes, it does EVERYTHING! It probably cooks you food too. Just wait for the oven peripheral to come out and there you go.
I’ll get back to a lot more of this E3 thing a little later. I just wanna soak in the awesome that is happening around me.
Please re-blog if you enjoy my writings and I’ll love you for eternity.

Me and Randall, thoughts on the new Duke Nukem game. Please watch.

Duke Nukem Forever is Finished (Finally)
After 15 years, Duke Nukem Forever is finally done. 2K Games and Gearbox Software confirmed this by saying the game has gone gold.

“Duke Nukem Forever and its journey to store shelves is legendary. It’s an epic tale of four game development studios that banded together and did the unthinkable and shipped the unshippable. When you play this game you will be reminded of that epic journey at every turn and in every small detail of the game.” —George Broussard, 3D Realms Creative Director

Duke Nukem Forever is currently scheduled to launch June 10 internationally and June 14 in North America on the Xbox 360, PS3, and on PC.

“Duke Nukem Forever is the game that was once thought to be unshipppable, and yet here we are, on the precipice of history. Today marks an amazing day in the annals of gaming lore, the day where the legend of Duke Nukem Forever is finally complete and it takes that final step towards becoming a reality.” —Christoph Hartmann, 2K President

Looks like it’s really happening, guys.

Games That I Can’t Bring Myself To Finish

Oh my God, man! Why does this game have to be so freakin BAD?! I’m not talking the story, I’m talking the actual game. The story started to suck me in and kept my interest quite well…until I got to the action parts and had to deal with my team dying within 3 seconds of guns being fired. Useless game. Maybe one day I’ll bring myself to beating it.

I hate you Dead Space…I hate you! Why did this game start off so good, and scary…but then instantly it brought me to a puzzle where I had to freeze time and open some thing by turning another thing and I only had 3 seconds to do it. I attempted it, like, 12 times. Failed. And returned to Game Stop. Same Day. Screw that puzzle.

I don’t know why I didn’t finish it. It was pretty fun, but weird. My kinda thing. But something about that insane storyline had me confused and thinking I was going to hell for playing it. I’m not sure. Maybe I’ll give it another try sometime.

Never finished this one because…oh…I dunno….IT SUCKS! Why do I wanna play “Follow the yellow light to your next path and kill stuff: The Game!” I wanted to explore, but it would be impossible to navigate your way through that dumb world. And there was no challenge. Returned same day also.

Posted on this before, but still. Why is this so highly praised? It’s like nobody looked at the crap this game actually is. It’s all action and no story. They throw you at this world and you gotta kill bad guys because they look different from us…or something. See? It still never explained it. And thats why I can’t bring myself to finishing it. Maybe one day

LA Noire game review
The new release by Rockstar games and new developer Team Bondi released early last week and boy has it taken my breath away. This stunning game takes place is corrupt 1947 Los Angeles where you play as the LAPD detective Cole Phelps. In this game, you actually feel like you are a detective as you go look for clues and interview people and try to solve a series of cases. Some cases in this game even link together and you have to use your detective skills to solve the big picture.
This game uses a new technology where they recorded real actors faces so you can solve interviews and try and figure out if someone is lying or telling the truth. To be honest, this really blew me away. Seeing everyone talking and actually looking like they are real people. I tried to play a different game but they looked like cardboard cut-outs compared to this game.
I’m just going to put this simply right now. This is simply one of the greatest games I have ever played. Ever. Rockstar did it again with their skilled writing staff to actually make me feel invested in a video game. Red Dead Redemption did an amazing job at making me really love the character of John Marston, but they sent me over the edge with Cole Phelps. Cole starts off as just one of those troubled army soldiers who came back from WWII and wanted to do the right thing, and then you start to uncover how complicated of a character he actually is. I have never had my heart literally broken by a character in a video game before LA Noire.
The cases in this game are so much fun. Even when I wasn’t playing the game, I would be thinking about my every-day life like a detective. But that’s just how good this game is at drawing you in. It’s not the next GTA, you don’t drive around and steal cars and run over hookers. You actually play a good cop and after a while you actually feel like you need to be good.
The feel of the game actually feels like an old 1950’s Noire detective movie. There is corruption in the government and in the police force. You find yourself doing things that Cole brings into question and you even question yourself. This game does so many awesome things to draw you in, it’s incredible.
The only complaint I have for the game is sometimes randomly the rendering will be off. But that’s rare if you install the game to your hard drive.
Over all I give this game a perfect score of 10/10. I will probably never play a game that will get this score from me. And I am very critical over my game scores.
